The Tides School Behavior Specialist will work with a small group of adolescents with diverse learning styles and at risk behaviors. They will provide classroom supports and group supervision as directed by teachers or administrative staff. They must also have a willingness to address discipline in a supportive, strengths based manner, must be caring consistent, and non judgmental and follow a student’s behavior management plan. A behavior Specialist needs to be flexible and to work in a collaborative team oriented environment. Other duties include student transportation, Occasional lesson delivery and behavior management.
Bilingual English, Spanish, Portuguese or Creole desired, but not required. Please note added wage differential given to any hired candidate that is bilingual and fluent in a language that may be useful with the Agency’s client’s demographics.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Bachelor’s degree maybe waived due to language capacity and years of experience.
- Must have valid Rhode Island driver’s license and vehicle.
