Tides is a non-traditional agency, unlike any other. Our “no-walls” philosophy puts us in the heart of neighborhoods where our clients live—the most distressed and poverty-stricken areas of Rhode Island. Our community-based programs service these youth, aged 6-21, and we’re there for them 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year. Our programs include strength-based counseling, structured recreation, cognitive behavioral therapy, after-school programming, and two small, licensed schools.
We believe in doing whatever it takes, for as long as it takes.
Join us and help impact these children, their families, and in turn, our communities at large.
Tides Family Services CEO Beth Bixby honored US Senator Jack Reed with the Brother Michael Reis Lifetime Achievement Award for his decades of advocacy on behalf of Rhode Island’s most vulnerable children and families during Tides’ Annual Gala, “Celebrating 40 years of Empowering Lives and Strengthening Communities,” at Quidnessett Country Club in North Kingstown. Senate Finance Chair Louis DiPalma and House Deputy Majority Leader Julie Casimiro also received Humanitarian Awards for their support in strengthening the network of children’s behavioral health services in Rhode Island.
