VICE PRESIDENT RISK MANAGEMENT

Mike is a “Rhode Island transplant” from Chicagoland.  He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Administration of Justice from Salve Regina.

Nearly 18 years ago, Mike began his career at Tides Family Services as an Outreach and Tracking Caseworker. He became a Supervisor of the Youth Transition Center and later became the Director of Treatment Programs. Mike was then promoted to Director of Quality Management providing guidance and oversight to risk management and continuous quality improvement activities.   He was recently promoted to Vice President of Risk Management and completed Lasallian formation through the Next Generation Lasallian Leadership Institute.

In 2018, Mike was nominated as one of Providence Business News’ “40 under 40” to watch.  Mike has participated on the Juvenile Detention Alternatives Initiative and was one of the lead coordinators for the National Council on Accreditation. Mike’s proudest moments at Tides has been the team effort to receive two consecutive expedited Best Practice Certificates from the Council on Accreditation and watching graduating students earn their diplomas every year. Mike is certified as a USA Hockey Official and a board member of the Rhode Island Hockey Officials Association.   He lives in Cumberland, Rhode Island with his wife Amanda and son Dylan. . His attention to detail and ability to provide administrative oversight allows us to maintain best practices throughout our organization.
